Supporting First Responders Across the Greater Austin Area

Through the GAF Community Matters initiative, our team partnered with GAF and QXO to complete a full roof replacement for a Central Texas first responder training facility, helping create a safer space for EMT and firefighter education across the Greater Austin area and surrounding communities.

Addressing Critical Facility Needs for First Responder Training

As this Central Texas training academy expanded its campus to serve more students, key classroom buildings began experiencing:

Persistent roof leaks
Storm and wind-related damage
Limited resources for infrastructure repairs
Setbacks that delayed facility improvements

These issues directly impacted the ability to provide a safe, reliable training environment for the next generation of first responders serving communities throughout Austin, Round Rock, Georgetown, and beyond.

A Collaborative Roofing Effort That Made an Impact

Mpact Roofing stepped in to deliver a complete roof replacement at no cost, ensuring the facility could continue operating without disruption.

This effort included:

Full re-roofing of two training buildings
Premium roofing materials supplied by GAF
Coordinated delivery and accessories provided by QXO
Professional installation focused on long-term durability

The system featured GAF Timberline HDZ shingles, Cobra Ridge Vents, StormGuard, FeltBuster, and Pro-Start components, built to withstand the demands of Central Texas weather.
